Dear Rosa began with someone very special to our family: Rosa, our much-loved Mum, mother-in-law and our daughter’s beloved Nonna. She had a wonderful way of making people feel seen, valued and cared for.

That’s the feeling we hope to carry forward through Dear Rosa.

A name that feels like a letter

There is something personal about writing “Dear Rosa”. It feels like the beginning of a letter to someone —a chance to share a little news, remember a moment or say something you wish you could tell them.

For our family, the name keeps Rosa close as we build something new. It gives our small Australian family business a connection to her and a story we’re proud to share.

A little thank you for the people who do so much

Dear Rosa creates gifts for teachers and early childhood educators—the people who help our children learn, grow and find their confidence.

As parents, we see how much those relationships matter. There’s the reassuring welcome at drop-off, the encouragement when something feels difficult and the excitement of a child coming home with something new to share.

When it comes time to say thank you, finding the words—or the right gift—can be surprisingly hard. How do you recognise a whole year of patience, care and encouragement?

Our personalised canvas bags and mugs offer a simple way to express that appreciation. A name, a thoughtful message and something useful can make a gift feel chosen especially for the person receiving it.

Carrying her name forward

Naming our business after Rosa is a way to honour her while creating something meaningful for other families.

As Dear Rosa grows, we want that personal connection to guide our choices: thoughtful gifts, messages that recognise someone’s contribution, and details that make the recipient feel appreciated.

A thank you that feels personal

Behind every gift is a relationship worth recognising. It might be the educator who made those first drop-offs easier, the teacher who helped your child believe in themselves or the person who always took the time to listen.

We hope our gifts help families acknowledge those moments and say, in their own way, “Thank you for the difference you’ve made.”

Thank you for getting to know Dear Rosa and the story behind our name. We’re glad to share a little of what it means to us.

Thoughtful gifts for the people who make a difference.
